HeartBeat logoThree days ago, Vincent from HeartBeat.com.my (yes, same name) emailed me for a review of his online personalized gift shop. In return, he will send me a personalized mug with a photo of my choice.

I have visited HeartBeat a couple of times even before Vincent contacted me. The website basically allows you to make personalized gift with your own pictures. Products available are t-shirts, mugs, cushions, key chains, mouse pads and ceramic tiles.

Skype, in case you have not heard of it before, is one of the best VoIP system ever exist. It offers good quality of internet voice calling, as well as video calling. It is logic that people like good stuff, and it makes sense to have almost 8 millions of users signed into Skype while I am writing this.

Quizlee has ordered a ReviewMe a few days ago, which is quite shocking as I expect nothing more from ReviewMe. Quizlee is one of those websites that you can use to test yourself in things like “How Addicted Are You to Reality TV?” and such — and then use the provided code to post your results on your blog.

Three Available Quizzes

With only three quizzes available, it is not easy for Quizlee to compete with earlier players like Blogthings, which have a greater interface with more choices of quizzes. The design of Quizlee is not too appealing with its color scheme, basically just with a grey header and footer, with white background on its content.

WebAppers gave me a familiar yet impressive look when I first land on it. It is using the BloggingPro theme that I once tried to use on my other blog and later gave up using it after I failed to tweak it the way I want. Ray did a good job on changing the color scheme of the theme as well as the classy logo up there.

Incredible Cash Machine

I just saw this post on John Chow’s blog. It is about a game to win money online, namely Incredible Cash Machine. In most cases, I will decide it is a scam when it says winning money or something similar as I thought there’s no free lunch in this world - but then Incredible Cash Machine is different. They doesn’t require any registration or information for you. All you have to do is play, and only provide contact information if you win (which wouldn’t be easy at all as there will only be one winner chosen every 24 hours). Winner will be granted $50. Not too much but is enough to make someone jump up and down if they win.

Besides the review ordered by ReviewMe itself when I first sign up, this is the first review ever purchased. What’s better than getting paid to write reviews for services that I usually will do it for free, especially for those fun stuff like Makeover for Dusty? If you would like to know who’s Dusty, it’s a 1985 Motorola brick phone - a phone that will make someone looks rich and good during the old time. Have you seen any before or is your family member using them in the old time? When I’m still a kid, those phone can’t be seen anymore. They’re using smaller phone with a mini screen.

Nintendo Wii

Thought of owning a Nintendo Wii, but just couldn’t afford it? Stand a chance to win a brand new Nintendo Wii by posting something like what I’m posting now on your blog. This contest is by the so-called “root of all evil“, John Chow - and sponsored by 1234pens.com, the promotional pen maker.

You wouldn’t need to write a really good post to enter this contest. The winner will not be choosen based on the quality of the post, but it will be drawn among all bloggers that have posted about this contest. The chances of winning is very low in my opinion, as the more bloggers who blog about this contest, the more bloggers will participate. And the more bloggers who participate in this, the harder your blog will be drawn among all bloggers. That’s why, John Chow is known as an evil - he always have good ideas generating buzz for his blog.

Once you’ve done your blog post, send an email to email to wii@1234pens.com with the URL of the blog post. If your post meets the linking requirements, they will print your email out and it will be kept in the draw bucket. By the end of this month, one blogger will be drawn from the draw bucket - and he will be lucky winner of the Nintendo Wii. If you are joining the contest, good luck and all the best. You can read more about the contest here. Have fun!

iPhone
Few days ago, Apple, Inc announces their latest product - iPhone. I thought I will not be posting it here, as it means nothing when everyone is already reporting the news on their blogs. Until I watch the video featuring iPhone on YouTube, I was truly amazed by it and decide to share the video as well.

iPhone is just like a combination of an iPod, a computer and also a phone, of course. I really love the feature where the screen tends to rotate when you rotate the phone - it has a sensor sensor to do the job. Also, it’s fully powered by touch screen, where you get to control everything using the screen, without keys. Another thing that amazed me is the image zooming feature. Stick two fingers on the screen, and zoom at the area you wanna - voila, it’s zoomed - it’s just like a paper. Guess the video will tell you more, and I’m quite sure you will like it. Seriously, $499 isn’t too expensive for such a great toy.

- This is NOT a sponsored post -
John Chow dot com

First of all, I would like to clarify that John Chow is no way related to me, it is just that we have the same surname. Some of you may thought that he’s my brother or whatsoever if I don’t clarify it. I’m not good at reviewing, and I don’t know if I need to introduce the blog first before reviewing it. I think I’m not gonna introduce who is John Chow here, as my job is just to review his blog. If you wanted to know him more, you can proceed to his about page.

JohnChow.com is one of those technology blog out there, with personal point of view - unlike others who act like a reporter. Besides, John do post about his experience in internet marketing and some unrelated stuff too, like a random video from YouTube. I have been reading his blog for quite some time, almost daily. Before this, he is using the Misty Look theme, but to make his blog stands out from all the blogs that uses the same theme, he modified the color scheme of it - from green to blue.

What’s weird to me is that he even change the color of the car in his banner. Previously, it’s a red car. But he changed it to blue, I guess he photoshop edited it. This make it not so original and I don’t really like it. Maybe he should look for a better banner, first time visitor might thought that it’s a blog about automotive.

About his blog content, it’s not all good, but most of them attracts me. Some of the post I don’t quite like is like “Sleeping In A Fantasy“. If you are asking me why I don’t like it and what’s wrong with it, I can’t answer you. Because I didn’t even bother to read it, and just proceed to other entries. The way or style he writes is consider as good to me. Although it’s a sponsored post, which most other bloggers won’t pay much attention on it and just write it for the sake of money, John can make it very interesting.

Not sure what to write anymore, as I’ve mentioned, I sucks at writing. I’m not paid for writing this review, but this entry would be linked on his blog entry and I stand a chance to win a MiniTV USB. This don’t mean that I only write review when I’m offered something, but I’m too lazy to write something long.
