Yesterday was the closing event of the BlogMob. I arrived 10 minutes late, and I thought I was very late, heck, I’m 1 hour early! In fact, everyone was one hour early because the event start one hour late.
Despite the late and the real too sweet ice lemon tea served by Izzi KL, the event was great. Great in a sense that I can bring home the Samsung i550w for free, along with a goodies bag with an olympic tee, Samsung water bottle & notepad along with Mobile World’s latest issue magazine.
The free phone is for winning the highest traffic category, in which is wish to thank all of you for it. There are 3 more winners bringing home another 3 i550w, two for being the best bloggers, namely Jun Yan who made 29 posts about the phone and Lydia, a Malaysian book author.

It is time to post about the Samsung i450 again. I have took some screenshots of the phone, you might want to look how it looks like. Basically it looks the same as other phones powered by S60. Currently using the New Gold theme by PiZero and a Boeing 737 wallpaper.

It has been more than 10 days since my old phone was replaced by the Samsung i450. Here’s what I think about the phone after 10 days usage:
The Good:
- The buttons are big and nice to press on. It will make you send meaningless messages just for the sake of typing with the keypad. Good for fat fingers.
- Cool audio quality. The speaker is so loud that I decided it will be with me for bathing time. Now I bath with music on. It just get better and better with the earphone on. Music lovers will love the phone definitely.
- When it says it is powered by S60, it means you can grab free softwares from the internet and make them yours by installing in the phone. So far I have Calcium, Dictionary, Opera Mini and Google Map. Tried installing Gmail Mobile but no avail, it returns 404 error when I tried to download it through the air.
- Fun semi-circle music control wheel. Basically it is there just for the fun of it, I would just the buttons if I want something real quick and accurate. Still cool anyway
- Voice Signal is definitely useful. If you are driving and wants to call someone, just pressing one key and start saying the command like “Call Vincent”. Not something new though.

The people from Mobile World has a few post already on the BlogMob microsite. One of the few was an update on how the bloggers are doing with their phones. Apparently they are a little disappointed because some of the bloggers, including me, have not post any pictures in order to race in the “Who has shown the phone to the most” contest.
Well, I did show the phone to two of my friends, but I thought I would only post them in one go once I have gather all them. Anyway, here you go:

Yup, I’m just using webcam! You would know why when you are like me, the day starts like this, [wake > school > eat bath nap > tuition > online > sleep]. And by now we should already know displaying the “Who’s shown the phone to the most” on the BlogMob microsite is a bad idea.
Who would still think he or she would win when the currently ranked at position one has shown to 84 peoples? Look at this if you are wondering how one can show her phone to that many peoples in less than a week.
For not writing about the phone, well, basically I have not played with it much for the past few days. But I believe things will change as my 2GB microSD card will be arriving tomorrow. Let’s see.
P/s: I’ve created a forum for BlogMob so that the participants can interact with each other. Also a category on this blog specially for BlogMob so that the staff can easily track my posts on the event.

I was not a great fan of Samsung Mobile, although my very first phone was a Samsung (N620) back then when I was 11 or 12. My second phone was a Nokia 3100, and I’m with a Sony Ericsson K800i now.
Today, I was given a chance again to try out Samsung Mobile via BlogMob, something done by Mobile World together with Samsung itself. 16 bloggers was selected to try out one of the two new Samsung phones for a month, namely i450 and i550w, and I’m one of the 16.
