Microsoft have this “The Wow Starts Now” campaign to promote Windows Vista. You may have seen the banner they made for this “Wow” campaign online and offline, looks quite convincing huh? Later on, there’s a banner too for Apple’s Mac OS X – almost the same with the Vista banner, but Mac’s saying, “The Wow Started 5 Years Ago“. Which actually means Mac OS X had reach the level of what Windows Vista is having now, thus Windows Vista is nothing new and there’s nothing to show about.
Many thought that the Mac OS X ad is by Apple, even me myself as well when I first saw it in other blogs quite some time ago. But then I stumbled upon this at Rishi’s blog:

This ad is NOT made by Apple! I made it in photoshop and submitted it to Digg for only humorous purposes. It has spread more than I thought it would, but it is still a photoshopped image. Apple would not copy someone’s ad and change it, or use the particular font I used.
Clearly stated that the Mac ad isn’t by Apple. Although it’s not by Apple, but I’m sure Apple and its fans will love this ad much – truly brilliant.
Well it’s true. One look at Vista and you see OS X. Pretty good image
hahahhaha It’s so true… thats why “Wow” So Expensive….
I don’t see MacOS in Vista any more than I see KDE or GNOME in it. Nonetheless, Vista is a disappointment at this stage but then again Windows operating systems usually take until the first service pack to mature. Right now, we’re all playing with what amounts to a beta.
This is quite true that some visual effects in Vista has already been introduced in Mac OS X 5 years ago.
