Gizmo Call

An update window from Adobe pop up once I start my PC today, and it’s urging me to update my flash player. I’ve been trying to update my flash player a few weeks ago when I first discover Gizmo Call, because it requires the latest Adobe flash player – but I somehow fails to do so.

When the update has been completed, what’s in my mind is to test out Gizmo Call. I called myself using it and it works like magic, isn’t because it really calls, but it’s because it’s free. I tried to talk using my phone and my voice is coming out from the speaker, a little slower however. It’s cool to use free stuff while others have to pay for it, but there’s a limitation. You can only call up to 3 minutes/call and 10 minutes/day for free.

There’s some other cool stuff too like CallerID, so that your own phone number will appear on the phone of the one you call, but it’s something not everyone love – it’s a paid service. And although it’s a web-based service, you still need to install a small plugin for it to work. I thought I will create a button so that people can call me easily for free using Gizmo Call, but gave up as it might be misuse. If you really want to talk to me, you can first email me so I will know why and when you are calling.
