If you have a scanner, you should notice that it will produce some noise when it’s doing task. By using these noises, a scanner can actually produce music if it’s programmed to do so. I am not sure if all scanner can do it, I think only a certain scanner version or brand will understand those commands. You can have a look at here to learn how to make your scanner sing and download the source code to try it out. To see a working sample, watch the video after the jump.

If you have tried it out yourself, do tell us using the comment form below. Ben do offer to write a program to play musics on scanners if people are interested in it. You can request for it here, but I’m not sure if he’s just joking.

Hi Vincent, I’m glad you liked my post!
I was actually completely serious when I said I’d create a program that anyone can download and create their own scanner music (and other videos), but only if there is enough interest. If only a couple people want to see this, I don’t think Anita (who runs the site) will let me post a follow-up.
If you and others want to see this in action, leave a comment for me on Say No to Crack.
Have a nice day,
Ben
