Looking for a place to visit during holidays? You might want to consider Malaysia, the country that will celebrating its 50 years of nationhood this year. The Visit Malaysia 2007 (a.k.a VMY 2007) campaign will be officially launched tomorrow - January 6, 2007 at Titiwangsa Lake Gardens, Kuala Lumpur. There are some events planned as listed here for VMY 2007.
A 60 meter high ferris wheel, namely Eye on Malaysia was built in around 3 weeks time at somewhere near RM30 million (around USD$8.5 million) to attract more tourist to Malaysia. With only RM15 for adults and RM8 for children, you can have a ride on it and view the city of Kuala Lumpur from it.

If you’re visiting Malaysia, I wish you a happy holiday and not ending up like Mr. Nam and Mr. Wright. I believe that there’s no countries that can be perfect - and similar cases happens not only in Malaysia. I won’t say that it’s not Malaysia’s fault for failing to handle cases like this in a proper way, but unless you’re really unlucky, you won’t met with such situation and will have a happy holiday here.
Good luck and all the best!
