As usual, was surfing for stuff to post when I land on GeminiGeek’s blog. After reading some of his entries, I found that someone lame stole his content and post it in her own blog. Her nick name is wanacruz, so I’d just call her wana.
Usually, when someone stole other’s content, he or she would have modify it so it won’t look exactly the same. But wana isn’t, she add a stupid image on top of the blog entry, took off all the smileys and place one smileys at the end of the post.
I could still understand if the post is about gadgets review or technology stuff, but it’s a life log. It’s about the author’s friend, and yet she can copy and paste the whole thing and make others thought that its her life. When GeminiGeek comment on her blog and request it to be removed, she delete his comment and says “wtf?!?! is it a big deal?
“.
A blogger’s basic ethic is not to plagiarize, never ever. If you were to copy someone’s materials, you should provide a link back to the source. It is still fine to not to remove the content, not to link the author’s blog back, but it’s too much when she says “is it a big deal?”. I have an entry that I took from other source and not linking them back few months ago, and he request it to be removed. I don’t know why but it goes to the spam list and it wasn’t listed as comment. I just pretend not to see it and didn’t bother him.
Well, at least I didn’t say it isn’t a big deal. I’ve stop doing such things now, as you can see, I did link to the sources of my entry materials. I have reported wana to Multiply, and hope they will take action against her soon enough.
