Last Friday, I’ve saw(watch or see?) the Happy Feet animation with my friends. I’ve been wanting to write a review on it - but I just don’t have the mood to do so. But I guess I have it now. The review is all just in my opinion, it may not be the same to other person.
First off, I would like to say that it’s didn’t meet my expectation. Too much singing and dancing. If you enjoy opera, you might love this film. About the storyline, it is quite unique - but it is not as good as I expect, too. Usually, when I’m seeing an animation in the cinema, I would always want to know what will happen next.
But it’s not the same here. As it is mostly on singing and dancing, I hardly bother to pay attention on what’s going on. The penguin is not very cute, but its act are funny. But yet, not really extremely funny. To compare, I will rate Happy Feet 2/5 - and Over the Hedge 4/5. See the difference? It’s just not good to me, but it might be your favorite film.
I’ve also seen the trailer on Apple. The trailer is not good either. But just watching the trailer, you won’t get an idea on what the film will looks like. Normally - by just watching the trailer, you will know either the film is your type or not. But it’s just not happening here. By the way, there’s so many version of trailers - so I can’t really know which one. Watch the trailer taken from Apple after the jump, requires QuickTime for the best quality, I really mean the best. If not, there’s still a link to YouTube’s low quality version. But downloading QuickTime is recommended.
