Since P1 wimax was launched about a month ago, there are quite a number of feedback in local forums. Most of them are positive. Online gaming is fine while connection is stable and speed is satisfying (in fact slightly higher than what’s subscribed, getting 1.6Mbps on a 1.2Mbps package for instant).

Comparing P1 wimax’s pricing structure to Streamyx Combo, it is obvious that P1 offers better package with less money. Of course, provided you subscribe before the end of September or else you would have to fork out RM999 for the modem alone.

Besides a free modem for subscribers before 30th of September, the monthly charges will also be slightly cheaper for the P1 W1MAX 2400 package. Refer here.

While it seems all good, there something worth looking at before subscribing, especially if you are a hardcore downloader.

Each subscriber’s total usage per month shall not exceed 20 gigabytes of data volume transmitted (total upload and download usage).

Might be a move to keep heavy downloaders from affecting other users.
