Steve Irwin, the world famous crocodile hunter, was killed by a stingray barb which pierced his chest on the Great Barrier Reef. He was filming for his daughter Bindi’s new TV series when the tragedy occurred.

According to a Queensland Ambulance Service spokesman, an ambulance chopper made an emergency flight to an island in the area just after 11am Monday. An intensive care doctor and a paramedic attempted to treat the crocodile hunter, who had a puncture wound in the left side of his chest. However, they failed. Steve was pronounced dead on the island, and his body is now being flown to Cairns.

I’m sure this is a bad news to the world, especially Steve’s fans. He has been contributing a lot to us, and many of us enjoy watching him playing around with the wildlife. Hope he will rest in peace.
