If you are looking for ways to reduce the cost for your construction site to operate, I have a few suggestions for you.
Plastic mask, easily obtained at any hypermarkets.
Sunglasses + newspaper = welding mask
Human counter weight working platform. What you need is just extra workers that doesn’t mind risking their life.
By increasing the collision time, it reduces the impact done on the head of worker when an object drop from above. The inventor of this sponge hat must be good at Physics.

Heh, at least they have some protection. I’ve been to few places where workers don’t have anything. And what’s more interesting, they don’t even know why they would need it. Poor bastards.
