Blogging Goals For 2008

I have actually yet to plan for any blogging goals for 2008, but since the group writing project at DBT will be ending very soon, I will do a quick one.

Before I name my blogging goals for 2008, have a look at my 2007 blogging goals:

  • Make $300 monthly blogging - Accomplished (somewhat)
  • Have more than 1,000 unique visitors daily - Accomplished
  • At least PageRank 5 - Failed, reduced to 0 by Google last round
  • Less than 50k Alexa ranking - Failed, stucked at 60k

My very first blogging goal for 2008 is to have my PageRank back. I prefer seeing the shiny PR5 than a big fat 0. For visitors count, 2,000 daily for 2008, along with less than 50k Alexa ranking. Not much hope for blog revenue, since Google is trying its so best to stop sponsored links and paid post—having it like $300 a month would be good. For RSS subscribers, 350 would be nice and not that difficult to achieve.

Writing about blogging goals, I don’t remember at all working on any of them. I set goals, I publish them, and I forget them. All I do after that is the same, keep posting and just posting. Maybe I should really put some effort on it to avoid seeing reds again next year. All these are just temporary goals as it’s done in a hurry. You might want to suggest which part of this blog should be improved?
