What the bed does need in order to be free of bed bugs is a daily airing - but the airing does not need to be the whole day (the time for you to get up, shower and dress will suffice) - and a weekly fresh set of sheets/duvet cover. Whether you want a tidy looking bedroom and bed that invites you to crawl back into at night is your own choice, but bed bugs have nothing to do with it, and are but a poor excuse to rationalize untidiness. For myself., I know that if I do not make my bed, I allow the rest of my bedroom to look messier far more easier, and stay away from the room as much as I can, do not feel peaceful when going to sleep, and well might forget to change the sheets. I make my bed for myself, to give myself peace and a nice looking and inviting room.
