The commander and pilot of Enola Gay (the aircraft used to bomb Hiroshima), Paul Tibbets, has died on the 1st of November—at the age of 92. He says he had no regrets for the bombing that has killed some hundred thousands of peoples. I would say it isn’t his fault, but the Japanese for their cruelty at the first place. Who knows how many more will be killed and tortured by the Japanese if the bombing did not take place.

All I have to say is thanks for saving everyone else and nations that the Japanese invaded during the war, although the method used is not quite preferred. Rest in peace, Paul Warfield Tibbets, Jr.. [Full news]-via

Any idea on, why the plane called Enola Gay? Which is the Paul Tibbets in the picture?

Enola Gay is Paul’s mother. He’s the middle one in the old picture.
