PageRank Dropped Twice

{ October 25, 2007 }

Google PageRankOn the most recent PageRank update, Google reduced this blog’s PageRank from 5 to 4. A while later, it was again reduced, to 3 this time. I was kinda disappointed seeing it, but no longer after knowing most websites are being slapped by the almighty Google. Here’s how my PageRank looks like overtime, starting from 0 when I first start the blog.

0 → 3 → 5 → 4 → 3 (current)

Check out Daily Blog Tips for the list of A-list bloggers and mainstream websites that have their PageRank reduced. Most blogs with their PageRank penalized are due to selling text links, although some others still get penalized without selling.

Not sure about others but the PageRank drop of websites like Copyblogger (6 to 4) that did not sell text links made me feel that PageRank no longer holds value.

This is not a rant post or to show that I’m unhappy with Google, since it is my fault to sell text links in the first place, I’m always ready to take the consequences. Just wanted to notify all text link sponsors on this blog that all text links will only stay until it expires and will not be renewed. Sponsored post will still be accepted though.
