24I saw this egg in bread thing on a blog of someone that I have forgotten. I remember how to prepare it since it is quite simple, so I have a try just now after my sister bought some breads back. But then, I failed! The egg doesn’t look as nice as it should have, and the bread goes black, burnt. Anyway, here’s how I prepare it.
1. Cut a round hole on the bread. I used a cup for the round shape.
2. Prepare some eggs, one egg for one bread. I made three in this case.
3. Heat the pan up and put in some butter
4. Put in the bread with a hole, and crack the egg right in the hole
5. Cook it until it’s done to your liking
6. Cook the leftover round shaped bread too and serve it along
It is not suppose to be what the pictures after show. The egg should blend well with the bread, which will looks cute. The egg yolk burst out and it looks extremely ugly. It tastes quite alright, but is somewhat to oily. But then, like I’ve said, this try it not a successful one. If anyone saw this before on elsewhere please let me know. I should have bookmarked the blog with the recipe, but now I can just do whatever that I can remember.
You can try this anyway, and let me know if you succeeded.

Ha, Cool! My mother used to make this for me quite often when I was younger. She called it “Eggs on a raft” (please don’t ask me where that name came from). That’s essentially it…I’ve continued to make it and have made it for my own daughter. A great bachelor meal.

i saw this from the movie “V for Vendetta”. yes, it takes practice but it’s easier if u toast the bread before u cut a hole in it. I wish u had put a better display of the food.
