There are very few blogs that monetize the same way and have the same good results. Some might generate thousands with Google AdSense, while some might just have pennies, with the same traffic. You will have to experiment with other advertising network if the other one did not work for your blog. A new advertising network for blogs have just turned up, and they are generously giving away $50 to all new publishers on top of the monthly rate - namely BlogLinks.
How it works?
In short, it sells sponsored links, located under your blog post. Links are inserted in a sentence or paragraph, making it look less like a paid links - making it harder for Google to detect and penalize your blog. The set of sentences you get will be relevant to your blog, thus making it more natural and might even benefit your readers in terms of resources in some case.
There aren’t any registration form to fill. If you are interested in monetizing your blog using BlogLinks, you have to contact them along with your blog’s information. They will then review your blog and send you a WordPress plugin. Follow the installation instruction and you will have the ads up, and they will begin to pay you.
Here’s a screenshot for a better picture:

The bright area of the screenshot is where the ads will be located. Here’s a live demo for viewing.
How much do they pay?

They pay according to your PageRank and the number of blog posts. While the rate looks attractive for blogs with low PageRank, but I would think twice if I have a blog of PR6 of PR7. It would be a waste for a blog with PR7 to risk for being penalize by Google for just a few hundred bucks.
Should I monetize my blog using BlogLinks?
Like what I have mentioned above, the deal is good if you have a low PageRank blog. Not to forget they will pay you a $50 “Golden Handshake” on top of the monthly rates. However, it is less likely for a blog with high PageRank to consider BlogLinks. While it might provide additional information to your readers, it might also hurt your reputation as a blogger, as it looks a little spammy especially to those who are already familiar in this field.
Suggestions for BlogLinks
First off, I would suggest BlogLinks to provide a proper web form so that publishers can sign up easily. By just providing a contact form, publisher wouldn’t know what kind of information they need to provide and it might consume more time in processing their request. It looks less professional too for just providing a contact form.
I spotted a dead link too on my way looking around the site (on /digivate-adlinks). Instead of leading me to where it should, I see only a 404 page. Things like this might put potential customer in doubt if BlogLinks can be trusted. People trust more on a more professional website, it is especially important for new websites that have not build up its reputation yet.
Update: The link has been corrected.
If nothing seems to work in monetizing your blog so far, you might want to try BlogLinks. You will receive $50 by just signing up and installing the plugin provided you will use BlogLinks for at least three months.
