Finally, I have upgraded this blog to WordPress 2.3 from the previous version of 2.1. I skipped 2.2 for I have difficulties with it, errors keep popping up so I thought I would just replace my backup files and stay with 2.1.

File overwriting all went smooth while upgrading to WordPress 2.3, but it went a little wrong when I visit the upgrade page and clicked on the “Upgrade” button. It shows a few lines of errors, but I just ignore it anyway. Later when I revisit the blog, it shows nothing but a line of error, again. It was due to a plugin that I previously deactivated before overwriting those files, activate it again and the blog is back.
I have a feeling that the new version works faster, not sure how true it is though, might just be my imagination. AdSense Deluxe is not working well in this version. The ads are still showing in the old post, but the drop down menu in the “Write” page is missing. It will only be back if you save the draft and continue editing it, it’s alright I guess as long as it is not missing forever. It has been a year since the author of AdSense Deluxe update his plugin.
With the previous 2.2 upgrade nightmare, I’m a little nervous during the upgrade just now. Just pray hard hoping everything will work fine while waiting for those files to overwrite. Things are all working fine now however. If you encounter any bugs or problems, please let me know. Thank you.
Update: Noticed another thing. The incoming links on the dashboard has been changed from Technorati to Google Blogsearch.
