Increasing traffic is what most bloggers are working hard for, as traffic = revenue. People say content is king, build the content and readers would come. But no matter how good your content is, if no one reads it, it’s useless. When I check my feed reader today, I saw quite a number of blog post featuring a new service that can be used to increase blog traffic, namely BlogRush.

BlogRush is basically a widget that you stick on your blog. For every impression the widget receive, you will earn “syndication credits” and that will determine how many times your headline will appear on other widgets of the same category. What’s so good about BlogRush is that they are offering 10 levels of referral traffic. Meaning that you will be receiving credits for impressions generated by blogs that are 10 level below you. To make things simple, as long as you are early, you will receive lots of credit even you are only generating 10 impression a day for the widget.

The Downside
Unlike other CPM based ads, BlogRush did not mention any of where we should place the widget on. One may just have it at the footer which couldn’t be seen at all but still receive impressions for it. Let’s hope BlogRush will make a different on this soon to stop cheaters from gaming the system.
