iPod Touch – An iPhone Without Phone

{ September 6, 2007 }

After the iPhone, Apple decided to come out with a similar gadget, the iPod Touch. It has similar features to the iPhone, basically a thinner iPhone without the phone features (including sms) and the camera. The iPod Touch is also the first iPod that support WiFi which will enable its user to browse the internet with the Safari web browser, watch YouTube videos, and also buying music from the iTunes Wi-Fi Music Store.

iPod Touch

The iPod Touch is priced at $299 for 8GB and $399 for 16 GB. I would rather get an 8GB iPhone at only $100 more, which is at $399 after the recent price reduce. By then I wouldn’t have to bring two gadgets at once everytime I’m out. Too bad, the iPhone will not ship to my country at the very moment, so the iPod Touch can be a good alternative to those who couldn’t wait any longer. A picture is worth a thousand words, so do a video worth a million words then? Watch the iPod Touch guided tour after the jump.
