Blogathon: Sponsor a Blogger

{ July 29, 2007 }

BlogathonThe Blogathon 2007 has just begun yesterday, 28th of July. But before that, in case you doesn’t know what Blogathon is, it’s like blogging for charity. A blogger would blog for 24 hours straight, posting a new entry every 30 minutes. Sponsors can choose a blog to sponsor, by paying the charity organization chosen by the blogger.

There are two ways to sponsor, hourly or lump sum. For hourly, you would pay for every single hour the blogger can stay awake and post — if you are paying $1 hourly, you would have to pay $24 if the blogger successfully to stay awake for 24 hours blogging every 30 minutes.

I am not sure how to proceed. Was testing the system to see how it works, but ended up a thank you page saying they will arrange the payment after the Blogathon ends. Luckily I was just putting in $1, nothing to lose since it’s for charity.

To anyone who have extra money, please proceed to the blog list and choose a blogger to sponsor. To bloggers who have nothing to post, just stuck and can’t think of anything like me, you can pass the word around to encourage people to sponsor bloggers.

And to bloggers who have participate in the Blogathon, wishing you guys luck and all the best. Get some coffee and stay awake for 24hours!
