In some countries, there McDonald’s offer special menu according to what the residents of the country love. For instant, there are rice burgers in Hong Kong — burger with two patties of glutinous rice of instead of buns.

People in India doesn’t eat beef, at least most of them. Instead of serving Big Macs, Indians have Maharaja Mac with lamb or chicken. They do also have a vegetarian burger, the McAloo Tikki.

McLaks, a sandwich made of grilled salmon and dill sauce are served in Norway.

Beer are served in Germany. Let’s hope they don’t have this in Happy Meal.

McLobster lobster roll are served in part of Canada, lobsters..

Japan totally reinvents McDonald’s with its Ebi Filet-O (shrimp burgers), Koroke Burger (mashed potato, cabbage and katsu sauce, all in a sandwich), Ebi-Chiki (shrimp nuggets) and Green Tea-flavored milkshake!

Gallo Pinto (rice and beans) can be found in Costa Rica’s McDonald’s.

In Israel, McDonald’s has 3 kosher restaurants where cheeseburger and dairy products are not served because Jewish Law forbids serving “the child [cow/beef] in its mother’s milk [dairy].” They have McShawarma, meat in a pita bread roll.

In Uruguay, they have the McHuevo, which is like a regular hamburger, but it is topped with a poached egg. Looks somewhat like McEgg, we have that in Malaysia. Are they available too in other places?

I’m not sure, the picture is under the country “Uruguay” but yet it says RM. But then, might be in other meaning or it is really that cheap, not sure when is the picture and the source of it though.
It’s not just the burgers that differ either, in Japan you get a “set”, not a “meal”. Fancy a Happy Set?
What’s the reason for that? Happy Meal sounds more “McDonald’s” to me
I think i had the Hong Kong(with the glutinous rice) burger once in Singapore…somekind of a promo going on…
Here in Brazil, Happy Meal is called McLanche Feliz, sth close to Happy McSnack… sounds interesting…
