How To Pour Ketchup Effectively

{ July 13, 2007 }

I think most people had experience on this. You went to a fast food restaurant, grabbed your fried chickens, and just before you start enjoying your meal, you look for the ketchup. Opened the cover and turn the bottle upside-down, hoping it will comes out quickly. Then you start tapping the bottom of the bottle. And after some time, it finally comes out.

Most people do it this way, but it is not the most effective way. So how to do it right? The image below says it all:

Instead of hitting the bottle against your fist, it works better when you use your palm instead. Head over Robert’s site for more information and explanation on pouring ketchup the proper way. The guide only applies to traditional glass ketchup bottles though.

I heard you’re supposed to tap the 57 on Heinz bottles.

Wow, very helpful information. Thanks!

But my science teacher(MBA) said it’s correct and in addition, he use this situation to explain to us too.
