Adrian G. White, a psychologist at the University of Leicester, produced a World Map of Happiness last year. According to the results, the top twenty happiest countries in the world are:

- Switzerland
- Austria
- Iceland
- The Bahamas
- Finland
- Sweden
- Bhutan
- Brunei
- Canada
- Ireland
- Luxembourg
- Costa Rica
- Malta
- The Netherlands
- Antigua and Barbuda
- Malaysia
- New Zealand
- Norway
- The Seychelles
Tha happiest country of all is Denmark. Malaysia, my country, is ranked at 17 – while other notable countries are ranked at:
USA (23), France (62), China (82) Japan (90), India (125).
Looks like people in India are not that happy. The three least happy countries are Democratic Republic of the Congo (176), Zimbabwe (177) and Burundi (178). I have not heard of any of them though. Wondering what is Iraq’s rank, I believe it wouldn’t be considered as a happy country.
According to Wikipedia, Happy is defined as:
An emotional or affective state that is characterized by feelings of enjoyment and satisfaction.
Are you living in a happy country? If you are not, read my previous post titled No Worries, Be Happy.

Dammit! What about Australia? It’s spacious.
But this diagram-o-mo-bobby was pretty good.
malaysia is ranked as the twenty happiest country. i’m proud to be a malaysian
How about Brazil???? It`s a wonderful , big and best place to live on earth!!! :yell: :yell:
“Looks like people in India are not that happy”
You are such a Fool of an Ass to make scuh Comments
@ Remo Hello there. That comment was made according to the statistics released by BBC, as India is not ranking quite well. I’m sorry if that offended you.
Vincent Apology Accepted…….
“We all are Same people of Same time”…..Plz don’t make any such comments about any country……Happy or unhappy its my Country and i am one Happy Proud India……and you should feel the same about your country too…
Remo doesn’t sound too happy to me :p
Ugh… I live in Japan… I think one of the unhappier parts too… got to get out…
But I think going from Japan to Denmark would be too much cheer. It’s like getting into a hot tub or making love to a girl. You can’t move in to fast.
I have to ease into something like France, jump over to some Netherlands, then maybe some Iceland or Costa Rica, then Denmark.
hell yeah, USA! No offense intended on anyone else, but I love my country and truly believe it is the best in the world, you can find just about anything with relative ease. And RooZ, i gotta agree, Remo doesnt really sound too happy, lol. And really, you’ve never heard of burundi, zimbabwe, and the congo? Geez, read a book or watch the news
Places like brazil and india are obviously awesome for the people who can afford internet access – which is why the people who have internet access are disappointed to find their countries lower than expected.
I love to be an Indian.I m very much happy…………….so it doesn’t matter for me that what rank bbc give to India in this category
UNITED STATES IS COOL TOO!!!!!!!!!
Vincent Chow.. if you look at the top 20 countries that are the happiest, they all have relatively small
population. Around 10 million or less.
So if you take population into consideration that is above 20 million then Malayisa is the happiest.
This make sense as it is easier to make a small population happy then to make a larger group of
people happy.
How is that? Malaysia is the happiest country in the world!!!
