Stumbled upon a cool website when scanning PayPerPost opportunities. The News Room is a website that offers free news video, those videos you see on news website. On news websites like Reuters, there are news videos that cover interesting stories and you can view it only on their website. With The News Room, you can embed those video on your website or blog, legally as they are fully licensed. See the example video I’ve embed after the jump. The video comes with a menu and from there, your readers can choose to view other news videos. When getting the code to embed, you’re given a choice to choose layouts that suits your site. It comes with choices like auto-play, 2 columns and 1 column. As 2 columns layout has a width of more than 500, it wouldn’t fit this blog. So I’m getting a 1 column with the not so nice lengthy layout. Besides getting to embed free news video, webmasters can even generate some revenue. When you use the mash button to embed a news story or a news feed (with advertising) onto your website or blog you begin earning revenue. It works based on the CPM concept, and you can earn up to $4 per CPM which is quite good as compare to other advertising company. Other than that, you’ll also earn money when someone mashes content from your site and it is viewed on theirs. You can see more about their payment information here. As part of The News Room’s loyalty program, you stand a chance to win cool gadgets like digital camera or even a brand new car. As a blogger, I think of no reason to not use The News Room when posting a related entry. Especially for politic blogs, it will help a lot as you get to post high quality news video and also get to earn some revenue from it.

Not very sure. Haven’t explore The News Room much, but will do so later on. Might get in touch with you or just post it here when I know where to check the pageviews, or stats.

According to their FAQ:
I assume they doesn’t have any stats for us currently.

Hm, I don’t think I will use them much since I’m not blogging much about news. Let’s see when they will display stats for us publisher. Nothing to lose though in my opinion since everything is free.
