PayPerPost Direct

PayPerPost Direct

Are you using ReviewMe to sell sponsored post on your blog? It’s a good service and might earn you good money, but don’t you think being only able to take 50% of your review price is too unfair? PayPerPost has recently launch a new service that is quite alike to ReviewMe. Just like ReviewMe, advertiser will hire bloggers instead of posting it to the marketplace for random bloggers to post.

What makes PayPerPost Direct better than ReviewMe is that they only take 10% of your selling price, and not a whopping 50%. To be exact, they only take 5% as the other 5% goes to transaction fees for PayPal and credit card processing. To start using PayPerPost direct, you are required to be a PayPerPost member of course. If you are already one, install the code provided on your blog and paste one of the well-designed buttons on it.

When advertisers click on the button, a form will pop up and the advertiser can just simply fill it up on the spot. For full information, you can watch their introduction video on their company blog. The bad of PayPerPost direct is that there is actually no where to get your blog listed on PayPerPost for advertiser to search.

The only way an advertiser can purchase a post on your blog is by using the button you placed on your blog. This made me think, why would one use PayPerPost when he could just sell sponsored post on his blog without the middle man? What’s the difference if he sell sponsored post personally than using PayPerPost, since the advertiser can only find the blog by visiting the blog instead of searching from a market place?

In conclusion, PayPerPost direct wins for only taking 10% of what we can make, while ReviewMe wins for having a marketplace for bloggers which will definitely increase the chance for us, bloggers, to receive sponsored post orders. I guess only PayPerPost knows what it’s doing, or maybe it’s just not complete yet and more new features will be rolling out soon.
