If you’re a follower of technology blogs, you should have know the case where Digg removed a post that strikes their front page and Digg users are extremely upset with it. The post Digg removed is related to a cracked HD DVD encryption key, 09-f9-11-02-9d-74-e3-5b -d8-41-56-c5-63-56-88-c0. There are many post ranting about it submitted to Digg and many of them hit the front page. One of them recorded a song about it and the lyrics is exactly the key, which is 09-f9-11-02-9d-74-e3-5b-d8-41-56-c5-63-56-88-c0. That really cracks me up.

By the way, Digg founder Kevin Rose has now decided to stop removing articles containing that code. That was because of their users, and Kevin said on Digg’s blogWe hear you, and effective immediately we won’t delete stories or comments containing the code and will deal with whatever the consequences might be“. Looks like Digg is really a democratic website, when majority of their users object the post to be taken down, they stop doing so.

Well, the main focus of this entry should be the music video. Enjoy it, and it’s funny if you follow the lyrics. By the way, the music is called Oh Nine, Eff Nine, which means 09-f9, the first 2 code of the encryption key. Video found via Digital Inspiration.
