Bid4prizes is a website that will allow you to win prizes. Unlike other auction, you win prizes only if you have the lowest unique bid. Meaning your bid must be unique, only you bid that price. For example, if 2 people bid 1 cent, 1 people bid 2 cents and 5 people bid 3 cents, 2 cents is the lowest unique bid. The prizes offered looks very attractive, like BMW, 1 million in cash and the not yet released Apple iPhone – that I think is too good to be true. Watch the video below to get a better idea on it.

As you can see, a mobile phone is required to participate in this. I’m not sure if international mobile phone numbers can participate, looked through the FAQ but it isn’t stated there. As I’ve mentioned above, the prizes do look attractive, but it seems to be too good to be true. One possibility is that your mobile phone number account will be charged for every bid you place, which made me doubt if residents from countries other than the United States can participate. And when there are many people participate in this by bidding, they will collect enough money to offer such cool prizes (BMW, omg), so imagine how much there are going to charge.

If you win a prize, you will not be charged anything including shipping and the amount you bid. However, you are required to pay for any taxes that may be due to the IRS. While this website might be genuine, you might have already lost a lot of money by bidding before actually winning anything. If you were to participate in the bidding, I advise you to read everything like Terms of Service, FAQ etc to make sure you really understand how the system really worked.

Anyone who have tried out this system before, feel free to tell us how it works and how much you’re being charged for each bid. And if you don’t win the prize, do you have to pay for the price you’ve bid.

For you info, you do have to pay for the price you bid and the operator service charge(SMS cost). But in Malaysia, the prizes is not that luxurie or fantastic cool prizes…it’s just one prize for a day such as latest Handphone/PDA, Digital Camera, MP3/4 and kinda in the range of this group. I was encourage to try but finaly this program ended. :o uch:
