Paying With Blank Paper

{ April 30, 2007 }

This guy is trying to pay using blank papers of money size to purchase something in the city. Amazingy, he manage to buy a diamond ring and some fillets with those blank papers. Out of three attempts, he was caught only once which is in the sausage stall – he then pay with real money and get away with that sausage.

Not sure what kind of paper is being used, if it’s just some office papers people should have realize it’s not money once they touch it. I guess he later return those goods to their respective stall after the filming is over, or just return to pay with real money. If you’d like to try this out, make sure you bring some real cash to back you up in to avoid being whacked, and remember to act as if you’re not feeling well and blur.

I watched this on the tv the other week, this was brilliant, Derren Brown does a lot of this kind of thing, he describes himself as combining magic, suggestion, psychology, misdirection and showmanship.
