Besides the review ordered by ReviewMe itself when I first sign up, this is the first review ever purchased. What’s better than getting paid to write reviews for services that I usually will do it for free, especially for those fun stuff like Makeover for Dusty? If you would like to know who’s Dusty, it’s a 1985 Motorola brick phone - a phone that will make someone looks rich and good during the old time. Have you seen any before or is your family member using them in the old time? When I’m still a kid, those phone can’t be seen anymore. They’re using smaller phone with a mini screen.

Dusty, the 1985 Motorola brick phone

Look at Dusty’s picture above, he is old now and no one loves him anymore. He’s sad and decided to do some makeover so it’ll once looks great again. But do you expect a phone can actually dress himself up all by himself? No, he needs your help. On the makeover page, you can help Dusty to get a brand new look by customize him from his hair styles to clothings, and from misc item to backgrounds. My sister and I played with it and came out with two new look for Dusty, one of them: (they do provide codes to embed your Dusty on webpages)

My Dusty from www.yourwirelesssource.com
Clicking on the phone above will bring you to the gallery for better look.

After you’ve done dressing your Dusty up, you can either save it to the photo gallery and get it voted or let your friends know about it by sending email to them using the form provided. If you choose to send your Dusty to your friends instead of saving it to the gallery, you can type in your message you want to send to your friend. You can then choose for a voice out of 3, girly, manly and even more manly.

Dusty - Tell your friends

After you’ve choosen the voice, you can preview it to see if it’s what you want. In the email you send using the form above, your Dusty wouldn’t show up, but just a link of your Dusty with a few other promotional links. Clicking on the link will bring you to your Dusty’s page and there will be a voice version of your message too. This means that what you type in the message field will be spoken up. I’ve made an example here.

If you look carefully at the form above, instead of just “Friend’s email”, it says Friend/Enemy #1 Email. They’re trying to be funny maybe, it just made me smile. Fun is fun. But you friend might hate you if his or her email you provide when filling the form is being abused to send spam mail. Although I’ve yet to receive any spams after providing my email address, it’s still not so convincing unless they do provide a privacy policy or just a simple notes saying that our emails will not be spammed or exposed to third party.

There’s some kind of people who loves dressing game like this. If you’re one of them, you might want to try playing it. Not just that you’ll have some fun doing so, but you will also be given a 10% discount coupon code for cell phone accessories. There is no need to provide your email address to play the game, but you will need to do so when you want to save it or send it to your friend (or enemy). Just a tip here, you can always create a 10 Minute Mail if you don’t want to give your email address away to any third parties.

  1. Desmond Says:

If I dress him/her up what will happen? He/she is also a useless hanphone now and just the handphone lovers will collect them as a hobby or antics. No 1 will appreciate it now.

(Maybe add something special feature like razor, sattelite phones, dictionary feature or others special feature like in the IPhone!, so people will attracted to buy it.)
